POSITION SUMMARY

Our Assistant Leagues Coordinator is an essential part of the success of the different FCA Sports environments. They are the face and the "boots on the ground"; ensuring everything runs smoothly and as a result, players, coaches, volunteers & families have an outstanding experience. Looking for a detailed oriented, responsible & 

reliable applicant.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Here is a more detailed list on the things you will focus on:

• Ongoing engagement of convenors, ambassadors, coaches, volunteers, referees & facility workers.

• Maintain an excellent relationship with the current venues.

• Execution & management of the different programs and leagues, securing a smooth & efficient experience.

• Schedule creation of the different leagues.

• Take regular inventory of equipment.

• Helping to manage and bringing to the FCA Sports Director any discipline issue that may arise during the season.

• Assisting with the drop off of uniforms and equipment.

• Assisting with the painting of lines for the soccer league.

• Assisting with the set up and tear down of soccer fields (2 weekdays evenings)

• Assisting with any incidents or injuries or unsportsmanlike incidents that might happen

• Assisting and providing any information to Ministry Advancement, so devotions are properly shared to the coaches every week for their use.

• Assisting a weekly meeting with the FCA Sports Team.

• Assisting the weekly Prayer Time.

• Assisting to any other meeting that FCA Sports Director or FCA Canada considers necessary.

• Assisting with other operational and customer experience tasks as needed.

• Taking photos or videos for social media promotion.



QUALIFICATIONS

• Well-developed computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

POSITION SUMMARY

The summer program Co-ordinator will work alongside the National Camps Co-ordinator for FCA Canada to 

organize and facilitate summer camps. They will be responsible for providing direction at and during programs with student athletes, volunteers, and parents as well as leading different sport and activity progressions during the camp week. They will work in a group or pairs to complete the daily tasks including check in, safety checks, and sports games. The summer students will also brainstorm and implement new initiatives that will further a holistic approach to the student athlete development. This role is important in preparation and execution of FCA Sport Summer Camps.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Media Coordinator in developing and implementing media strategies to promote and enhance the organization's brand and image.

• Assist in coordinating the planning and execution of media campaigns across various platforms, including print, digital, social media, and broadcast.

• Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, communications, and design, to create and manage 

content for the organization's website, social media channels, and other digital platforms.

• Assist in producing multimedia materials, including videos, graphics, and photography, ensuring high quality and consistency with the organization's branding.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in assisting with media coordination, communications, or marketing campaigns is preferred. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey messages and information.

• Proficiency in using various media platforms and tools, including social media management systems, content management systems, and graphic design software.

• Basic knowledge of media trends, digital marketing strategies, and social media best practices.

• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in content creation and proofreading

• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute innovative ideas to media campaigns.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with the internal team

• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

POSITION SUMMARY

The media coordinators job is to manage the media for the organization during the summer camps season. They will be the project managers for photo and video collection as well as content creators for the Instagram and Facebook pages. Creativity and passion is a must in this role.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Camps Coordinator in planning, organizing, and executing all aspects of the camp program.

• Coordinate the registration process, including assisting with camper enrollment, collecting necessary paperwork, and maintaining accurate records.

• Assist with the development and implementation of camp schedules and activities, ensuring a balanced and engaging program for campers.

• Supervise and provide guidance to camp volunteers, ensuring adherence to camp policies, safety procedures, and program guidelines.

• Assist in managing and maintaining camp facilities, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are clean, safe, and in good working condition.

• Assist with the coordination and supervision of daily camp operations, including check-in and check-out 

procedures, transportation arrangements, and parent communication.

• Collaborate with the Camps Coordinator in evaluating camp programs and making necessary adjustments to improve the overall camper experience.

• Assist in resolving conflicts or issues that may arise among campers, staff, or parents, implementing appropriate disciplinary measures when needed.

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations, maintaining accurate documentation and records as required.

• Provide excellent customer service to campers, parents, and staff, addressing any concerns or inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Maintain a positive and inclusive camp environment, fostering a sense of belonging and respect among campers and staff.

• Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Camps Coordinator or Camp Director.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience working in a camp setting or coordinating youth programs.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with camp staff, parents, and campers.

• Knowledge of camp programming and activity planning, including experience in developing engaging and age-appropriate activities.

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to camp operations, and the ability to ensure compliance and maintain accurate records.

• Experience in staff management, including training, and supervising camp staff members.

• Ability to handle and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise among campers, staff, or parents, utilizing effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

• First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification prior to the start of the camp season.

• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic camp environment, with the ability to quickly adjust plans and respond to changing needs or circumstances.

• Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and passion for working with children and creating memorable camp experiences.

• Ability to pass a background check and meet any other requirements set by the camp or regulatory agencies.

• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation, as some travel and transportation coordination may be required.

The successful applicant will play a key role in the implementation and coordination of the All Ability Sport inclusion program for FCA Canada under the supervision of the Director of All Ability Sport. S/he will be responsible for ensuring that camp partners are adequately prepared to receive campers with special needs. S/he will help facilitate the application and information gathering process for potential campers. The candidate must be available to attend children's camps run by FCA on an as-needed basis, from Sunday night to Friday afternoon. The candidate will also assist with office administration if they are not required at camp on a given week, and will need to be on site at the FCA Canada office in Mississauga. Qualified applicants would have a strong Christian world-view and personal life and mission in concert with FCA Canada's Statement of Faith. A strong candidate will have experience with working with children with exceptional needs, but training and support will be provided. 


Job requirements include:

• Be available to attend camp to provide extra support for campers with exceptional needs on an as-needed basis

• Ensure that campers receive the level of 1:1 care they need to succeed at camp

• Travel to different camp locations for the duration of each camp (Sunday night to Friday afternoon).

• Assist with the development of the All Ability Sport program

• Liaise with parents of campers of children with exceptional needs before, during and after camp


Report to FCA Canada office and work with the Director of All Ability Sport on weeks where there may not be a need for the Inclusion Coach to be at camp
